Vaccination for the "other pandemic"
As 2021 is coming to a close, we are all realizing that Covid-19 comes in all shapes and forms, that is mutations, and is here to stay for a while.
It has had a devastating impact on many, not only with fatal and often serious health outcomes but also has accelerated mental health conditions in the United States, affecting 19% or the equivalent of 47 million Americans.
Psychologists, such as myself, are trying their best to keep up with the demand of helping as many as possible, and including ways to provide #psychological first aide, efficiently and effectively. My philosophy as a mental health providers is to give individuals the psychological tools to experience emotional relief fast with long-term effects that assist in living a more fulfilling and productive life.
For starters, this season of giving and caring, remember to be more aware of what is happening in your environment, at work, at the store and lend a hand to someone who might need your help!
